Once Fullerton College receives your scholarship, you can use your scholarship funds to pay for or reimburse you for qualified education expenses. At Fullerton College, qualified educational expenses are defined as fees required to attend Fullerton College (registration fees) and for course-related expenses such as books, supplies, or equipment and material fees that are required for the courses you are enrolled in. These items must be required of all students in your course of instruction. Please contact the Bursar’s Office for more info.
Disbursements from your scholarship for other expenses such as room and board, transportation, or personal needs will require written approval from the organization that awarded you the scholarship.
Scholarships are generally tax-free if you meet certain conditions; however, there are situations when all or part of your scholarship funds may be taxable. Fullerton College staff cannot advise you or answer questions about your individual tax situation. If you have any questions about your scholarship and possible IRS tax consequences, please consult a tax advisor.
